Mukesh Ambani was born April 19th, 1957 into Indian Business Legend Dhirubhai Ambani and his wife Kokilaben Ambani. He has three siblings, one younger brother, Anil Ambani along with two sisters, both Deepti Salgaocar and Nina Kothari. The family lived in a small two-bedroom flat till the late 1970s at Bhuleshwar, Mumbai.
Mukesh attended the Hill Grange High School in Peddar Road in Mumbai where he had been a classmate of both Anand Jain, who is his close associate today. His brother also attended the exact same school as him.
After completing his high school in Mumbai he obtained a BE Degree in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical technology at Matunga. He also began his MBA at Stanford University but he had to discontinue his studies to assist his father at the family startup business, Reliance, that was growing quickly at the moment.
In 2010, Mukesh Ambani set up the largest grassroots petroleum refinery plant from Jamnagar. Together with his initiative, producing capacity of Reliance’s Petrochemicals has increased substantially as per industry sources. The business has also come to be a top participant in the retail industry, under his leadership and endeavours.

Mukesh Ambani is married to Nita Ambani and they have three children. Two sons, both Akash and Anant plus a daughter Isha. He resides with his family in Mumbai within an apartment of a private 27 storeyed building named Antillia.
