Back in 2012, Buffett revealed that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He started undergoing radiation treatment in July and completed his treatment in November.
The health scare did little to impede down the octogenarian, who annually ranks close to the very top of this Forbes world billionaires list. Back in February 2013, Buffett bought H. J. Heinz with private equity collection 3G Capital for about $28 billion. Later additions to this Berkshire Hathaway stable included battery manufacturer Duracell and Kraft Foods Group, which united with Heinz in 2015 to form the third-largest beverage and food company in North America.
